Painting – Horan
The Horans had contacted me concerning some deteriorated siding and windows. It had been over 10 years since they had any maintenance done on the exterior of their home. Over 50% of their Masonite siding was in need of replacement. All the dormer windows, exposed to the elements, were rotting. Several door units were deteriorating as well.
What we did
- Replaced masonite siding with Hardie Plank
- Replaced windows and several door units
- Replaced front porch decking boards with Trex composite
All the Masonite siding was removed and Hardie Plank installed. The windows we replaced were Pella brand windows that were vinyl clad, (wood inside, vinyl outside), guaranteed not to rot or decay. The exterior door units were fiberglass slabs with rot proof jambs and molding. The entire exterior was coated with high grade Benjamin Moore paint. The freshly painted house drew attention to the weathered front porch decking, which was tongue and groove yellow pine. We removed the old decking and installed Trex composite decking with hidden fasteners. The home looked brand new when we completed the project.
